Sketch quirky, beautiful and unique objects which all have their own tale to tell!
Fun and Friendly!
All of the drop in and draw sessions begin with a demo of some techniques that you will find fun and useful to try out during the session which is really helpful with getting going (something that we all of find difficult at times!).
We will then have a go at drawing some objects, starting with quick loose warm up exercises and then moving onto longer timed sketches.
With regular drawing practice, you will grow in confidence and ability really quickly and your sketchbook will fill up in record quick time!
All experience levels are welcome xx

Thank you so much! This week has been the first week I’ve drawn properly and I’ve actually ended up with actual drawings, which I never thought I could do. Your teaching style is incredible and so calming. I’ve enjoyed it so much and I’ve started to look at things differently. It’s opened something up in my brain. I can see this becoming a very enjoyable and freeing part of my life. I love your teaching of not being fearful or worried about perfection too and just do it. It’s taken away the fear of even trying to draw.
Lucia Leyfield
Lucia is an artist, letterer and teacher who loves creating illustrated journals and artist books. She has become known for a unique and creative approach to her work which has been described as 'quietly joyful...a nostalgic, moving and profound ...a treasure chest of creativity and inspiration'
Her journals and sketchbooks, which record life as it happens, conversations, inspirations and experiments, have become works of art in their own right. Many of Lucia's sketchbooks are handmade with a range of papers and combine traditional and experimental hand lettering with watercolour, collage and mixed media sketches.
She is inspired by a diverse range of things: the old, rusty and wonky, worn architectural patinas, ancient diagrams, aged buildings, old books and ephemera, explorers' sketchbooks and vintage field guides.
