Fancy a bit of paper craft? One of my most favourite things to do when the nights draw in is to settle down with a big stack of paper, some scissors and glue!
In this workshop I will show you how to create your very own tunnel book in the form of a tiny shop. Add paper decorations, a sprinkling of snow and you've got yourself a festive world in miniature!

With easy tracing pattern sheets and loads of inspiring references, the tricky parts of this project are removed leaving you with some beautiful painting and creative collaging to do!
This merry, mindful workshop can be adapted and personalised in so many ways. There are four lovely shops included in the references but feel free to adapt and create your own!

The perfect antidote to a commercial Christmas! Slow down and quietly potter with the different stages of your tunnel book.
First, we will choose and paint our shop front and then on to the interior where we create some mini paper objects to stock the shelves. Finally, we stick it all together and build our tunnel books. It's so exciting to peep in the windows of your newly finished shop!

Lucia Leyfield
Lucia is an artist, letterer and teacher who loves creating illustrated journals and artist books. She has become known for a unique and creative approach to her work which has been described as 'quietly joyful...a nostalgic, moving and profound ...a treasure chest of creativity and inspiration'
Her journals and sketchbooks, which record life as it happens, conversations, inspirations and experiments, have become works of art in their own right. Many of Lucia's sketchbooks are handmade with a range of papers and combine traditional and experimental hand lettering with watercolour, collage and mixed media sketches.
She is inspired by a diverse range of things: the old, rusty and wonky, worn architectural patinas, ancient diagrams, aged buildings, old books and ephemera, explorers' sketchbooks and vintage field guides.
